Bridge Stabilisation

A bridge can be fitted to one or two single implants on which two or more crowns can be placed, providing a structure for the bridge to fill the gap two or more adjoining teeth are missing.

What is Bridge stabilisation?

When it comes to replacing several missing or damaged teeth, a dental treatment method known as Implant Supported Bridge can be use used. This is used when a patient is missing several teeth on one side that requires several dental crowns to be placed. Using multiple teeth implants as the anchors of the dental bridge, several dental crowns can be placed into the patient’s mouth.

Benefits of Bridge stabilisation

Bridges are made of all white ceramic materials so will match closely the natural colour of your teeth. The downside to a normal bridge is that it is necessary to damage healthy teeth by covering them with crowns which can in turn fail causing the bridge to fail. However, with implant supported bridges this is not an issue due to the structure being formed around implants and crowns rather than healthy teeth.

Bridge stabilisation Costs

Dental Implants can be a costly treatment due to the materials used, training needed, and machinery involved in such a complex treatment. However, everyone’s mouth and circumstances are unique and so placing a set cost on a treatment is difficult without first understanding the patient.

Our staff are highly trained and knowledgeable about the latest available techniques and treatments. For an overview of expected costs please see our Fee Guide. Your dentist will provide a detailed personalised treatment plan with your specific costs after your initial consultation.

The alternatives to Implants

If you are missing a number of teeth, they may either be replaced with individual implants (one for each missing tooth), or if they are adjacent, by joining two or more implants together. This latter option can make implant treatment more affordable when patients are missing many teeth.
